Worship at Severn
Every church gathering at Severn involves a time of worship.
For us, this means enjoying the presence of God whilst our bands lead us in music and in singing songs that are written by popular songwriters or by our bands themselves.
It doesn’t matter whether you are exploring faith or already count yourself a follower of Jesus, you will be able to join in as much or as little as you like, with lyrics projected onto our large screens.
Bands & Musicians at Severn
We have a number of different worship leaders and bands, each with their own individual expression and style, ranging from folk-tinged leanings all the way to heavy rock sets. We believe this diversity is a true strength of our community and hope you enjoy the variety of worship that it creates.
During the Spring term, we also have a Song Writing Course. To find out more and sign up, please go to our Community Groups page.
Prayer & Worship Events
We have a rhythm of prayer and worship on Mondays before our staff meeting (9.30am - 10am) at our mid week premises, The Powerhouse. These are open to everyone and we would be delighted if you wanted to join us regularly or as a one off.
We also have regular worship events called Essence, typically held on a Sunday night over three hours - you’d be so welcome to come for an hour or stay for the whole evening!
These are times of worship with no agenda except to wait on God.

We have a creative God so art is essential to our world. Artists are life-givers in culture. When painting prophetically, we have the unique opportunity, through the power of the Holy Spirit, to translate the Kingdom of Heaven into a visual language. This isn’t about words but a visual language that goes directly into the heart of the human spirit.
When we collaborate with the Holy Spirit in art, His light, power and life combine powerfully with our faith, imagination, creativity and skills. Our art carries the visual presence and awesome power of God so therefore, in our services, our paintings become prophetic.
Revelation 19:10 “The testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy.”
I Corinthians 14:3 “But everyone who prophesies speaks to men for their strengthening, encouragement and comfort.
