Mid-week Small Groups
At Severn, church is about more than just coming along on a Sunday. It’s about building a community of people who come together to share life, support each other and impact the areas where they live – which is where our mid-week Small Groups come in.
We have six Small Groups who meet on Wednesday or Thursday evenings in people’s homes across the city. Each one has a slightly different flavour, but as a rough guide you can expect a mix of worship, prayer, discussion, food, and the opportunity to reach out to the city of Bristol in all kinds of ways. In the past our small groups have come together to paint people’s homes, rake leaves from neighbours’ gardens and take warm clothing out to people sleeping rough in the city centre.
Small Groups are at the heart of everything Severn does – the best place to be known and get to know others. If you want to really feel a part of our community we can’t recommend them highly enough!
You’ll find flyers for all of our current small groups, leaders and contact details on the information desk on Sunday Morning Services. You’re very welcome to try out as many as you like until you find a group where you feel at home. Just give them a quick ring first to check they’re meeting when they say they are.
